再一次衷心感谢所有参与帮助的家庭们！
对于第一次来到美国的新生而言，下飞机后的第一站是最困难的。他们拎着大包小包，面对陌生的环境，非常需要帮助。今年ＵCSD CSSA与San Diego主恩堂和华美基督教会合作，安排接待了大部分新入学的中国学生。除了安排接机（pick up）以外，对于没找到住处的，还联系了接待家庭（host family）让他们暂住。事实证明CSSA和host family的付出让他们在美国的学习和生活有了一个很好的开始。很多host family为学生垫付了房租或押金，带学生找房子，办手机，买床和家具；介绍美国文化。所有学生都很认为我们的program对他们很有帮助。下面是部分学生回馈给CSSA的信息。

Thank you for your help during my first few days in San Diego. I just don’t know how to show my appreciation to all of you, especially my host family. And I can’t find another word to express my thanks. Sorry I am not good at writing or talking but I am really touched by all the host families and help from CSSA. Anyway, thanks to all of you. Hope everything goes well with you!

Dear All,
On September 27th, 2008, we Chinese Students and Scholars Association held a successful mid-autumn welcoming event for all Chinese students and scholars in San Diego. Over one hundred and twenty students from both UCSD and SDSU came to celebrate this great occasion with us.
